The 2010 Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge has begun!
The Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge is a televised road racing endurance series. Run all over the USA and Canada. Evan is hopping to compete this year and make a run for the championship. Evan would like to get support this year in his quest for a championship and to help some non-profits along the way. Please contact us for more details.
Evan also races and instructs in numerous amateur series. Sponsorship on any level is a great way to support a positive role model.
As a race car driver, Evan was the SCCA 2005 SE Division ITA Champion and has won numerous Divisional titles. He has been involved in the SCCA SPEED World Challenge series and a driver/crewchief in the Grand AM Koni Challenge series. Evan is a certified master mechanic and a driving instructor for many clubs including Chin Motorsports, Ferrari Owners Club and Porsche BMW Owners Club. Evan will be racing in the 2009 Grand Am Koni Sports Car Challenge series, and Tom and I will be immediately working on obtaining sponsors for his racing team. You can learn more about Evan on his website: http://www.edarlingenterprises.com/.
Please join me in welcoming Evan to the FK family!!

The series we are racing in is The Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge. This series has 2 classes. GS (Grand Sport) is a class with cars like the Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Subaru STi, Porsche 911, BMW M3 and other modern sports cars. The second class is called ST (Street Tuner). This class is comprised of modern small bore sports cars. Cars like the VW GTI, BMW Z4, Chevy Cobalt, Mini Cooper, Mazda Speed 3, Acura RSX and TSX, Porsche Boxter and others compete for driver and manufacturer points.
Most of our weekends are run in conjunction with another series. We often race with the Rolex series, Moto ST (motorcycle endurance racing), Speed World Challenge and others! This maximizes your advertising exposure. Most of our TV coverage is from The Speed Channel and local programming.
This is an endurance series that is required to have at least 2 drivers paired up for 2 ½ hour to 6 hour races. We have a great schedule for 2010 and the TV schedule will be disclosed soon. One of the other great benefits of this series is that it is now officially owned by NASCAR. This series will benefit from all the media and advertising experience from one of the largest sports media engines of all time! Check out the schedule and watch here and at evandarling.blogspot.com for updates!
